Robert Pattinson wasn't a household name... until he starred in Twilight.

Now, the British actor is well on his way to the A-list.

Pattinson appeared in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (in a flashback) in the role of Cedric, but it was his casting as vampire Edward Cullen that truly established the actor in Hollywood. He will star in the next three movies in the Twilight franchise: New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

In his free time, Robert plays the guitar and piano. He has two sisters and was named Rolling Stone Magazine's Hottest Actor of 2008.

Music

Pattinson plays guitar and piano, and composes his own music. He also appears as the singer of two songs on the Twilight soundtrack: "Never Think", which he co-wrote with Sam Bradley, and "Let Me Sign", which was written by Marcus Foster and Bobby Long. The songs were included in the film after director Catherine Hardwicke added Pattinson's recordings into an early cut without his knowledge, and he agreed that "one of them specifically, it really made the scene better. It was like it was supposed to be there." The soundtrack for the film How To Be features three original songs performed by Pattinson and written by composer Joe Hastings.

Aside from recording for the soundtracks, Pattinson has said, "I've never really recorded anything - I just played in pubs and stuff", and when asked about a professional music career, he said, "Music is my back-up plan if acting fails." In 2008, he also performed with his first girlfriend's current boyfriend's band, called Bad Girls.

Miley Cyrus is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus... but you might know her better as Hannah Montana. The young singing sensation is growing more popular than The Beatles ever were. Sort of.

In the spring of 2008, Cyrus posed for a number of racy photos. Some were taken from her MySpace account, others were found in the pages of Vanity Fair. While most of these shots were tasteful enough, they demonstrated a lack of responsibility on the part of Miley and her family.

Miley Cyrus is 16, after all.

She's stood tall in the aftermath, taking responsibility, which we commend her for. Most Miley Cyrus fans have stood behind their favorite singer and we doubt this scandal will have a far-reaching effect on her career. Still, it shows how hard it is to navigate this crazy thing they call fame.

Cyrus began dating an older man, model Justin Gaston, in September of 2008. It's another step in her growth as a human being and as an artist.

Miley has signed on for a fourth season of Hannah Montana and also will star in a movie written specifically for her by Notebook author Nicholas Sparks.
